One of the ways in which the European Commission is promoting the Copernicus programme and developing user uptake of Copernicus data and information, is by organising Copernicus Training and Information Sessions (InfoSessions) in the Copernicus Participating countries.

From September 2016 to July 2017, nine Infosessions took place, from Malta to Finland, passing by Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic and Portugal. As a result, around 1100 participants have been introduced to the Copernicus data and information services and have seen first-hand their potential thanks to practical application demonstrations.

To make the material even more available to the public and disseminate this information further, the presentations and module demonstrations were also filmed in a professional studio in Brussels over a four week period. Representatives from the Commission as well as from the geospatial industry, academia and scientific community shared in front of the camera their knowledge of the Copernicus programme.

All this effort from presenters, editors, cameramen, artistic director and production team resulted in a total of 68 videos that were released and are available on the Copernicus Youtube channel!
