The European Commission will launch a new call for proposals under the LIFE programme on 28 April 2017, with application deadlines in September 2017. Nearly €260 million in funding will be available for environment and climate projects ("traditional projects").
The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. The general objective of LIFE is to contribute to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental and climate policy and legislation by co-financing projects with European added value.
The EU Commission is particularly interested in close-to-market projects, i.e. projects that:
